Mitchell raised tens of thousands of pounds during his life even though he was battling his own heart condition. He would always find a way to help others and would do everything he could to support local people going through hard times.
Mitchell was born with a heart condition and had more than 20 operations throughout his life – including open heart surgery at the age of five. Through everything, he always made sure to give back in whatever way he could, starting with fundraising at the age of 13.
By the time he was 18, Mitchell was awarded the Young Fundraiser of the Year by the British Heart Foundation – a charity the family continues to support today.
He would often create online auctions and help fundraise money for organisations such as the British Heart Foundation and local people going through times.
He would also set up fundraising pages and organise charity nights which often included speakers from his favourite sport football.
